Transition

In art as in life, transition continues to evolve and with it brings new awareness and inspiration.  As certain as quarterly equinoxes, passage from one thing to the next marks beginnings and endings and increases our perception of the cycles of time.  The flowing quality of transformation seems particularly relevant as the nature and imagery of my paintings is evolving to become more loose and intuitive.  Brush strokes, charcoal and pencil markings are highlighted and become the subject of focus in the striking landscape of black and white.
