Opposites Attract
Shifting viewpoints from a global orientation to a
personal one, Jacqueline utilizes the contrasting shapes of
the circle and square along with a complimentary color
scheme of blue and orange and black and white to portray the
beautiful interactions that can happen when opposites are
placed together in harmony. [This series is dedicated to her
husband, Mark]
Aerial
Jacqueline’s recent mixed media series is titled
“Aerial” and loosely represents a topographical viewpoint
using the shape of the square and the straight lines of our
cities along with the repeating grid patterns of our streets
and highways to designate the manmade framework in which we
live. Each artwork combines at least five media on
Strathmore Acrylic or Arches Watercolor Paper.

Interdimensional
Jacqueline’s recent mixed media series titled
“Interdimensional” focuses on space, dimensionality and
depth. Notice that each artwork has multiple layers which
results in an experience of spatiality. The contrast between
warm and cool colors as well as light and dark values also
heightens the perception of distance in each of these
pieces. Each artwork combines at least five media on
Strathmore Acrylic or Arches Watercolor Paper.
Mix it Up
This series of mixed media drawings, titled “Mix it Up,” is
Jacqueline’s move towards using a variety of media in her
pieces. Each work utilizes a minimum of five media including
ink, oil pastel, charcoal, graphite, soft pastel, marker,
wax resist and colored pencil. Again, Jacqueline’s allure
with geometric shapes, pattern and line elements is
demonstrated. Each piece is a mix of at least five media on
Strathmore, Stonehenge or Bristol paper.
